Terms of Service
Last updated October 5, 2026
1. The service
MedicaidRate provides a database, dashboard and API of Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement information compiled from public government and health-plan publications (the “Service”). By creating an account, using the dashboard or calling the API, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you accept them on its behalf.
2. Informational use only
The Service reports what official sources publish. It does not guarantee what any payer will pay you. Actual payment depends on your contracts, member eligibility, coverage rules, prior authorization and each payer's own systems.
3. Sources and accuracy
Every value links to the document it came from and the date we retrieved it. Sources change without notice and can contain errors. Values we compute, such as Medicare amounts from CMS relative values, per-hour equivalents and percentage comparisons, are labeled as computed. We correct errors we find or that you report, and we describe our sources and methods on the methodology page.
4. No warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue. That includes amounts billed, paid, underpaid, denied or recouped based on information from the Service. An Enterprise order form may set different terms.
6. Accounts, seats and API keys
Seats are for named individuals and may not be shared. Keep API keys secret and rotate them if exposed. You are responsible for activity under your account and keys. Plan limits are listed on the pricing page, and API use is subject to fair-use rate limits.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- resell, sublicense or republish data in bulk beyond what your plan allows;
- use the Service to exchange, pool or coordinate non-public prices with competitors;
- upload protected health information or any patient data (the Service does not accept it);
- scrape the dashboard instead of using the API, or try to get around rate limits or access controls;
- use the Service in violation of law.
8. Code sets and third-party names
CPT® is a registered trademark of the American Medical Association. CDT codes are copyrighted by the American Dental Association. HCPCS Level II codes are maintained by CMS. The Service shows codes as identifiers for publicly published rates and does not reproduce official code descriptors. Health-plan and agency names are used only to identify them; no endorsement is implied.
9. Fees, renewal and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew automatically for the same term until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires. Prices exclude taxes. We give at least 30 days' notice of price changes, which apply from your next renewal.
10. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what account and usage data we collect and how we use it.
11. Our content
Government rates are public information. Our compilation, normalization, classifications, software, design and documentation belong to MedicaidRate. Your plan gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them for your internal business purposes during your subscription.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes take effect 30 days after we post them or notify you, and continued use after that means you accept them. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or use that threatens the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms: use the contact details on your order form, or reach us from your workspace.
